Obama: “Economy is far worse than we ever imagined when we made election promises:”
Here’s the problem: If you go back and examine the record, you’ll find that Obama was fully aware of the depth and severity of the recession and he still chose to run for the office of President of the United States. As a candidate, for example, he said we were facing “the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.” As president-elect, Obama said we faced “a crisis unlike any we have seen in our lifetime.” Obama never indicated that the economy decline was something too enormous for his administration to tackle. He took on the responsibility of recovery and failed. Not only did his recovery plan fail, the economy has worsened to record negative statistics. A record of Failure.
Obama’s failed record
The problem for Obama is that his predictions were not only wrong; they were terribly wide of the mark. For example, since the president was sworn in, America has suffered a net decline of roughly half a million jobs. According to a study by the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average annual premium for family health coverage through an employer reached $15,073 in 2011 — an increase of 9 percent, or $1,303, over the previous year. The 9 percent increase in family premiums between 2010 and 2011 followed an increase of 3 percent between 2009 and 2010. Under Obama, the number of foreclosures was the worst in history. In addition, last year was the worst sales year on record for housing, while home values are nearly 35 percent lower than they were five years ago.

President Obama has an accountability problem. It’s not simply that during the 2008 campaign he made extravagant promises to heal the planet, slow the rise of the oceans, end political divisions in America, and usher in an era of hope and change. It’s that as a candidate and in the early days of his presidency, Obama and his top aides made a series of very specific promises on a range of issues.

- said he would reduce deficit spending 50% but its increased to $1.5 trillion annually
- automatic enrollment in 401/IRA plan
- Create 5 million new energy jobs alone
- creation of a national bank to fund roads
- repeal of Bush tax cuts
- increased funding for cancer research
- closing Guantanamo Bay detention center
- an independent watchdog agency to investigate congressional ethics violations,
- and introduction of a comprehensive immigration bill.
- Obama promised he would introduce a comprehensive health care bill that would allow citizens to keep their present plans, not increase the deficit, protect Medicare, cover every American and cut the cost of the typical American family by $2,500 a year
- The program also broke his promise of no new taxes for incomes under $250,000, as 75 percent of Obamacare’s taxes will be paid by families making under $120,000 a year.
- Obama promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. Instead, it increased by nearly 45 percent.
- The president promised his stimulus bill would keep unemployment below 8 percent, create 3.5 million jobs, jump start a green economy, reduce poverty, and put a million electric cars on the road by 2015. Instead, unemployment rose to 10 percent and remains above 8 percent. We found out the green economy has failed to materialize, 6.2 million more Americans are in poverty, and the electric car industry has too many issues of price and practicality for average buyers.
- There were further promises to make government more open and transparent,
- allow bills to be looked at by the public for five days,
- allow meetings where laws were written to be more open to the public, Instead we have an administration withholding documents about its responsibility in the death of a federal agent, the stimulus bill was passed without viewing, and the speaker of the house rationalized Obamacare with “We have to pass it to know what’s in it”.

We can go on and on but what does this all mean? Obama is the most deceptive and dishonest President in the history of this once great country. His agenda is to transform this country from a place where you could realize the American Dream to Dreams from my Father.
The “We Couldn’t Possibly Have Known How Bad It Was” narrative is an understandable one for Obama to resort to. But like so much of what the president says these days, it’s simply make-believe. The president has run out of excuses, which explains why for many Americans he’s just about run out of time.
Thank God our founding fathers took this type of takeover and destruction of our fundamental core structure, our constitution, our life, liberty and pursuit of Happiness into account providing the means to remove this arrogant socialist individual without violence.
